Laneway Music was founded in September 2015 with a passion for ensuring that iconic artists' body of work (including previously released material, rarities, unreleased tracks and new music) was completely available on all legitimate digital platforms worldwide for fans to enjoy.
Truth be told, Laneway was born from a somewhat selfish perspective - we were unable to access some of our favourite bands on digital platforms, and decided to do something about it. It's not rocket surgery. Or brain science.
The Laneway Music philosophy is simple. We believe that:
- Great music should be accessible for fans to access and enjoy on the various and evolving digital platforms.
- Great music should be preserved and not 'lost'.
- Artists should be compensated for their art in a transparent, respectful and fair way with their interests paramount always.
Every day we feel privileged to be able to bring these amazing artists, and their important music, to fans around the world. At Laneway Music - we're about the artists and the music.
WHO WE ARE
Vincent Donato, Director
Vincent Donato started his career in the music industry as a musician, and then worked for Mushroom Records in the mid-80s.
As an entertainment industry accountant he moved to Network Ten, followed by Shock Records, before returning to Mushroom as the Commercial Director and founded the highly successful Liberator Music label.
Vincent then founded record label 'Third Verse' before starting Laneway Music.
Dan Bradley, Director
Dan Bradley has a long and successful history in the radio industry as a programmer and brand strategist.
Dan is Content Director of the iconic rock station Triple M Melbourne.
Prior to joining Triple M, Dan programmed Hot Tomato on the Gold Coast, the famous New Zealand alternative station Radio Hauraki, and was one of the two launch programming strategists to design and launch the national Nova FM radio network in Australia.
He is a director of Kaizen Media.
