The music of Erik Satie, Claude Debussy, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Joe Hisaishi and Michael Nyman shaped his childhood.
Starting the piano at 4 years old, he's fulfilled his dream of becoming a music and film composer.

Vivian Roost has taken part over more than 10 years in several audiovisual, theater projects and has composed for many pop artists such as the famous french singer ZAZ.

After his first EP "Un autre monde" and his first album "Départ", well acclaimed by his international public, Vivian Roost present today his second album : The Seasons.

Born in Lausanne, Switzerland, near a lake surrounded by mountains, he was marked by the beauty of seasons as a child, and this influence has always inspired his work as a composer. One day, he came across a japonese haiku, and that is how "The Seasons" started to develop.

Inspired by japonese haikus written by Matsuo Bashō, Kobayashi Issa and Naitō Jōsō, The Seasons is an ode to life.

4 seasons for 4 distinct and original sound universes, recorded on 4 meticulously restored centenary pianos.

This aerial album reveals his interest for Japanese culture, shot through these various artistic universes and his truely poetic touch acquired during his first journey in Japan.

In 2016, he started hi first successful Asia tour and played in Tokyo in march 2018.
