Born in Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan.
A versatile artist skilled in composing, lyric writing, performing, singing, track making, mixing, mastering, and DJing.
At the age of zero, Mizuki’s very first favorite toy—something she became completely absorbed in—was a CASIO SA-1 ToneBank synthesizer that her mother obtained by collecting points from diaper packages.
She began attending a neighborhood piano school at the age of four, and during her elementary school years, she played trombone in the school brass band. As her interest in Western music grew stronger, she began performing songs on stage at school events. Every morning, she would pack CDs by metal bands like Linkin Park, Slipknot, and Metallica into her bag, listening to them on her Walkman during long bus rides to and from school.
In junior high and high school, she formed rock bands and performed at school festivals, taking on both vocal and guitar duties. While in high school, she spent a year studying abroad in Canada, where she was also exposed to the hip-hop and dance music that was popular at the time.
In 2011, she entered Keio University and joined a club dedicated to Black music, beginning her career as a DJ. She became a regular DJ at hip-hop clubs in Tokyo—most notably CLUB HARLEM—and opened for events featuring well-known artists from Japan and abroad, including Just Blaze. Around the same time, she also developed a deep appreciation for Japanese Showa-era pop and enka, attending concerts by artists such as Aki Yashiro.
In 2013, she began making beats and providing tracks for rappers. That same year, she produced the entirety of BES’s (SCARS, SWANKY SWIPE) album UNTITLED, which included songs such as “Pyrex feat. NIPPS.” The album reached #1 on the iTunes Hip-Hop Albums chart in Japan after its release.
In 2020, she resumed her music activities as a mixing and mastering engineer. In 2023, she handled all mixing and mastering for VIKN’s album HITOMI.
In 2022, she launched her solo career with the release of her first original album, Xer0. The lead single, "Dawn," was streamed in 32 countries worldwide. Handling every stage of production herself, she has established a broad skill set and a unique musical identity.
