Kepa Kruse

ARTIST USA Pop Hawaiian Electro Rock/Pop Reggae

ABOUT SHOW | HIDE

Kepa Kruse was born on Kaua`i to parents who both built and crewed on the Hokule`a voyaging canoe. Kepa’s early life stayed close to the beach (a three time national bodyboard champion), and to the music – singing and playing ukulele at Kamehameha Schools in Honolulu and at clubs in Waikiki. No surprise Kepa’s music vibrates with the rhythm of the ocean and the rise and fall of the tides. His self-produced album “Coconut Wireless” deals with good friends, surfing, love, nature, chasing waves and chasing your dreams. The album is in heavy rotation on local Hawaiian stations such as KITH, KJMQ, and KQNG, playing five songs "Coconut Wireless", "Honey Girl", "Green Bottles", "Headers & Webbers" and "Cruise".

Kepa currently splits his time between Kaua`i and Los Angeles, where he is pursuing a career in acting. A part in the Hawaiian TV production "North Shore" led Kepa to move to Los Angeles in 2006, where he appeared in the 2008 movie "Forever Strong" with Sean Faris, Penn Badgley, and Sean Astin. He recently completed "Age of the Dragons" with Danny Glover and Vinnie Jones, and the comedy “Knots”, both in post-production.
