The band Ammo was founded in 2020 in the city of Bolzano.
At the beginning , it was a game among friends to relax and escape from everyday reality, spending time together.
In 2021, the first song was released: Riding to the Stars, a new face for the band.
Founders Mirko Vacca and Alessandro Grillo were joined first by Giorgio Santangeli, and later by Emil Fazzi.
In 2023, the first album, "To the Stars," was released, featuring eight original songs born from Mirko Vacca's experiences and emotions, which the other band members embraced and enhanced with their instruments.
Alessandro Grillo, the longtime guitarist, left his place to Fabrizio Arnao in 2024.
That same year, the second album, "Ghost," was released, featuring another seven songs born from collaborations between the band members; the album was enhanced by the collaboration with the great Italian guitarist Luca Colombo, who gave us a wonderful solo on the song "Black Angels." In early 2025, drummer Emil Mair joined the band.
All the songs produced so far, their dissemination and sponsorship, have been entirely self-financed; all band members have contributed both financially and towards the recording of the various instrumental parts.
All booking and social media promotion is handled entirely by us, and with tenacity and determination, investing time and money, we strive to bring our artistic work to venues in central and northern Italy.
