After a period of studying music, the author had his first experiences in the group “Red Flowers”, as a bass player, guitarist and singer. The band, composed of very young musicians from Savona, was busy playing Beatles covers that would be proposed in a single concert. Although the live concert was an unexpected success, the premature dissolution of the group occurred shortly after.
1979 can be considered the year of his compositional debut. With his entry into the band “l’Enigma”; a group committed to producing own music, the author participates in the composition by creating music for the electric bass parts. The following year, he writes his first work: “Notizie Fuori Cronaca (Canzone per Marina)”, a real song that later will be revisited by the musician and collaborator Marco Sicco (Amos EAR), through a transposition to the piano with a variation.
In the following years, the author is involved in minimalist, wave and ambient productions, without neglecting collaborations with other musicians. With Mauro Diana (Kaos-Dem, Blue Moment), he records three tracks under the name “Frammenti d’Immagine”, the result of an experimental session improvised during a single meeting, then inserted in an audio cassette entitled “An Evening with Ambient Music”. Years later, the track “Exotic Tk1” recorded in the experimental session with Diana, will be included in the record collection “391 VOL.5 LIGURIA (Voyage Through The Deep 80’s Underground in Italy)” produced under the Spittle label.
