Rubera Roots is based on the concept of
active search of Rastafari experience,
which through the roots music - reggae roots -
sharing a natural manifest of Creole and

African culture.

The band brings a message of militancy
and demand always bring a Africanist
and African ancestry message.

The band was born in 2012 in the meeting and sharing of musicians
who have made and are part of other musical projects,
always within the roots reggae shed.
Rubera Roots wants to share a positive and spiritual vibration
through his music, a manifest that is being very well accepted
by the massive Portuguese and African, with tunes such as
" Militanti Roots", "Mama África", "Jah Rastafari" and more.. .

The proposed goal is to touch the conscience and
the spirit of Human Being for an awakening for positive experiences
based on common values of human universality as love, justice,
equality, solidarity and respect.
Rubera Roots presented to the roots reggae massive,
spread around the world their debut album
"Militancy Rastafari", an album with 10 tracks, bringing a message
of militancy of consciousness, and vibration
and reection in a positive frequency,
which together with the sound proposes
a reunion with the most African roots.

 

In 2019 Rubera Roots began the recording process

for the new album ATITUDE ANCESTRAL

recorded at Teatro do Bairro Studio, which was later mixed
and mastered by Roberto Sanchez at his Lone Ark Studio.

The album features 10 tracks of Conscious Roots Music and proposes a meditation

on the transcendental values and principles of
African Ancestral Culture and Humanity.

It features a Roots African Reggae sound that serves as a strong

and vibrant base for sharing a conscious

and spiritual message that praisesand values the history

and legacy of our Ancestors.
NEW ALBUM

The album was entirely recorded and mixed in studio Rubera Records
by Ras M & Ras Kamarada, and the honourable collaboration of Dodas Spencer,
mastered at Macles Music Factoy and co-produced by Cassey Hermit.
The album included the participation of Rodrigo Bispo and
Luis Pena on trombone and trumpet respectively
adding a strong energy and vibration in themes Militanti Roots and Konsiensia.
The album also features a guest appearance,
Tu Lion of the Virgin Islands in "Larga Tudu bu Ben" ,
with the harmonies and an amazing electric guitar solo
bringing more positive energy, more love and Spirituality to the album.
After the release of their rst Album, Rubera Roots had the opportunity to bring their music to various cities
in Portugal and Spain culminating the year 2016 with a special invitation to perform
at the Showcase Stage Rototom Sunsplash the European Festival in Benicasin
the rst Cape Verdean band to bring the Creole Roots Reggae into this festival.
In 2017, the band consequently received an invitation to perform at the Rototom Festival, at the Lion Stage, and
after this performance the band toured through Cape Verde lslands (at Festival da Gâmboa, Santa Maria festival,
Morna Jazz Festival , and others) Netherlands, Luxembourg (Reggae Massive Festival) in Germany at the Roots up Festival,
as well as One Love Festival in England, and many other performances in Spain and Portugal,
highlighting the performance at Musa Festival. In 2022 the Band was nominated by the IBERIANFESTIVALAWARDS,
for best live performance at the Extremareggae Festival in Badajoz.
After the release of the "Militância Rastafari" album,
the band also released some singles, such as "Graças a Jahovia", "Rasta di Rubera",
"Kombatentis Klandestines" among others,
in 2023 the band releases its second album "ATTITUDE ANCESTRAL".
