JAPAN TOUR 2027

Broken Social Scene: Long-Awaited Japan Tour Confirmed for Spring 2027!

Broken Social Scene, the Toronto-based indie rock collective, is set to hold long-awaited concerts in Tokyo and Osaka in the spring of 2027!
Since the early 2000s, the group—centered around Kevin Drew and Brendan Canning and featuring a fluid lineup of numerous musicians—has built a unique sound by fusing diverse musical styles such as indie rock, post-rock, and electronica. They released acclaimed albums like *You Forgot It in People* (2002) and their self-titled *Broken Social Scene* (2005), exerting a major influence on the global indie music scene before going on hiatus following their 2011 tour. In 2026, they made headlines with their full-scale comeback, releasing the new album *Remember the Humans* and embarking on a North American tour. Their history in Japan includes their debut visit in 2005 and a performance at Fuji Rock Festival '06.
This upcoming visit marks their first time back in Japan since 2008, when they toured alongside their fellow Canadian allies, Stars. It is a highly anticipated tour, finally taking place after a long hiatus of 19 years.
