Joey Dosik, also a member of Vulfpeck, Announces His Long-Awaited Japan Tour
Joey Dosik, a member of the funk band Vulfpeck, who captivated audiences with his overwhelming live performance at last year's FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL, has now announced his long-awaited solo tour of Japan. His saxophone, piano, and four-octave vocal range, along with his deeply moving voice, have all contributed to the audience's enjoyment.
"My goal is to write timeless songs that can stand on their own with just vocals and piano," he says.
As he himself states, Joey Dosik's music possesses a timeless charm that makes you want to hum along, and a warm power that touches the hearts of listeners. His songwriting, influenced by soul and pop music from legends like Carole King, James Taylor, Marvin Gaye, and Harry Nilsson, as well as contemporary beatmakers like J Dilla and Pharrell, and classic hip-hop producers, radiates a timeless yet fresh appeal, reviving classical popular music forms with a modern sensibility.
This will be his long-awaited solo performance at WWW, following several visits to Japan as a member of Mocky's band. Details of the band members will be announced at a later date.
