Die Spitz's bond stems from the deep connection between the four 22-year-olds. All from Austin, Ava Schrobilgen and Eleanor Livingston met in kindergarten, Kate Halter became friends with them in middle school, and Chloe De St. Aubin quickly joined them when they formed the band in 2022. Despite only having played together for a few years (Halter only started playing bass when the band was formed), 'Something to Consume' showcases the maturity and skill that has always been evident in their deep friendship. Known for their intense live performances, Die Spitz blends classic punk, hardcore, metal, and alternative rock to express their own ideas. Their first live show combined original songs with covers of bands that inspired them, including Black Sabbath, Pixies, Mudhoney, PJ Harvey, and Nirvana. They have opened for bands such as OFF!, Amyl and the Sniffers, Viagra Boys, and Sleater-Kinney, and have demonstrated performances that match their energy.
