BIO

Katrin is a Russian singer-songwriter, actress and author, and the creator of a musical project she calls manga-pop. Inspired by Japanese pop culture, anime and manga, she brings together melodic pop, rock and theatrical storytelling. Her songs are performed in Russian, English and Japanese. Her album My Maitre (2013) features songs in all three languages, including Kumo, co-written with Kanako Iwamoto. She has also performed at the Hinode festival of Japanese culture in Moscow. Her releases include Tokyo, Deja Vu, Don Juan and Gangster, alongside the folk-rock single Fata Morgana, a collaboration with the band С=З. Katrin's creative world extends to poetry, fantasy fiction and visual stories inspired by her music. Through music and imagery, her multilingual project connects cultures and invites listeners into a world of romance, imagination and mystery.

A distinctive feature of Katrin’s manga-pop project is the adaptation of her song lyrics into manga comics. These visual stories bring the songs’ characters, imagery and narratives to life, allowing listeners to explore her music through both sound and sequential art.

In 2024, her single Tokyo received her first international media coverage. In 2025, she released the folk-rock single Fata Morgana with the band С=З. On September 26, 2026, she released Zazerkalye (Through the Looking Glass), accompanied by a manga created with the help of AI and shared on her official social media.
