
Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in 1996, she is a singer-songwriter. Her father is cellist Jaques Morelenbaum, known for his work with Caetano Veloso and Ryuichi Sakamoto, and her mother is singer Paula Morelenbaum. In 2021, she formed the band "Bara Desejo," and the following year's debut album, "SIM SIM SIM," won the Latin Grammy Award for Brazilian Music.
It also garnered significant attention in Japan, and was selected for the Brazilian Disc Award.
In 2023, she made her first visit to Japan for a Japan tour centered around FESTIVAL FRUEZINHO, captivating audiences with her energetic and joyful performances.
Meanwhile, she also actively pursues a solo career, and her sweet, enveloping, and ethereal voice and sophisticated songs are reminiscent of the legendary MPB artist Joyce Moreno.
In 2024, she released her debut album, "PIQUE," which was nominated for a Latin Grammy.
With her close friend Ana Frango Elétrico joining as co-producer, Dora's artistry was fused with new elements of disco, funk, jazz, and soul, resulting in a unique masterpiece that represents contemporary MPB.
