Family moved to Israel at the age of 4 and grew up in Tel-Aviv. Played basketball for Maccabi Tel-Aviv youth team.

Moved alone at the age of 16 to Houston TX in 1981. Played for Bellaire high school as "Allen Gordon".

Played  college Basketball at Towson University & West Texas State university as "Lazer"Gordon".
BA marketing degree 1988.

Signed a 3 year deal with Maccabi Tel-Aviv,1988 
In Israel they know him as Lay Z Gordon (Lazy).

Played 10 years pro ball in the elite 1st league and the Israeli national team.
