Hailing from just a few kilometers beyond the Sunset Strip - the famed birthplace of Album Oriented Rock - LA’s STARFIRE continues to carry the torch that lights the way for everyone to feel the delight that can happen when people connect. For nearly a decade, group has been on a quest to use the power of music to create that very connection, awakening the passion in their fans. Together with new lead vocalist Jeff Bratz, founder and bandleader Dairenn Lombard imaginatively blends classic motifs with his fresh and unique vision, leaving STARFIRE standing apart as one of the few music groups in the new millennium to ignite pure joy and bring shining smiles to the faces of their audience.
Like being carried away on the wings of love, rock aficionados have been drawn to the strength of their sound, the sparkling melodies of their tunes, and the intimate words in their music whether on stage or in the studio. In the 2019-2020 live lineup, STARFIRE features five players of incredible skill and musical-prowess. On keyboard and backing vocals, award-winning composer Miss Neara Russell has appeared on WBZ Television in Boston Massachusetts and has performed classical, jazz, rock and pop all over the world. On backing vocals, rhythm and lead electric guitar Mr. Lombard brings over 30 years of performance and songwriting experience and nearly 25 years of experience as a music producer and recording artist. On electric bass guitar, Mr. Eliot Lorango, whose performance collaborations have included Rick Springfield and Mick Fleetwood as well as appearances at CMJ, Vans Warped Tour and SXSW. On drums, Mr. Jake Michael Hayden, a dazzling, talented professional that has performed with TOTO’s Steve Lukather, MISSING PERSONS and Rick Springfield as well. Last but not least, STARFIRE lead singer, Mr. Jeff Bratz, is a young performer passionate about his craft as a vocalist with numerous stage appearances both in music and in theater including the part of Frank Sinatra in “Marilyn and Sinatra” and Dr. Frankfurter from “Rocky Horror Show.”
Between them, they all share nearly a century's worth of professional studio and live stage performance experience, multiple degrees in music, and a burning desire to share their love and passion for their work with the world. Each player born to entertain, and thrill connoisseurs of love songs from Los Angeles to London to Tokyo, STARFIRE is on a mission to bring real rock with heart, and artistic instrumentation back into the spotlight.
Now writing, recording and performing a whole new set of songs into the 2020s as they prepare new material for upcoming releases, the future as never looked brighter for this band.
