umzi is a South Korean producer, singer-songwriter, and instrumentalist whose music bridges jazz roots with R&B, pop, soul, and electronic influences. A jazz piano major, she began earning recognition early on with her original compositions—both instrumental and vocal—winning awards at national college music festivals, including the 3rd Incheon Yeonsu College Music Festival (Silver, 2019) and the College of Applied Music Festival (Bronze, 2020). She also contributed to a compilation album curated by the Korea Sound Arts Association.
In October 2022, she officially debuted under the name “umzi” with the single TTL. Since then, she has been actively involved in arranging, recording, and performing as a live session musician, concert bandmaster, and collaborator with various artists.
