Alternative/Nu Metal Band based in Florence, Italy, with heavy sounds wrapped in a melodic mosaic.
The original lineup was formed in 2002 by four students from the Dante Classical High School, completing a hardcore album that has since been lost… Exactly twenty years later, sparked by the singer and drummer, they rise from their ashes. With new members, they release their 2024 EP, Bridges/Latencies, described by critics as:
“This alternative project manages to create a sonic experience that moves along the thin border between the ethereal realms of Deftones and the raw rebellion of Rage Against The Machine.” (IDIOTEQ REVIEW)
Their new work, Cyrene, is a denunciation of discrimination, of man’s exploitation of man, and of the crimes committed against migrants in Libyan detention camps—the title track Cyrene is, in fact, inspired by the Libyan region of Cyrenaica. For these reasons, the sound reflects the harsh reality highlighted in the lyrics. Drums and bass are recorded naturally. Guitars build a dry yet gritty wall of sound. Synths open up to ambient textures, representing a freedom that is missing—or that lingers only as a faint memory. Vocals range from sweet and melancholic melodies to screams filled with rage and frustration.
