Born in Hyogo Prefecture in 2002, she began playing piano at age four and electric organ and composing at age six. She has won numerous piano and electric organ competitions and graduated from the composition department of Tokyo College of Music. In 2021, she released an album with the Misaki Umei Trio, of which she is the leader, and performed at COTTON CLUB. She will also begin a solo project in 2023. She has performed live and on recordings with Hiromi Uehara, Kendrick Scott, Masaki Hayashi, Takashi Arakaki, Eiko Ishibashi, Sora Kimijima, Aina the End, Kayoko Yoshizawa, and Yukkyun. In February 2025, she was selected as the guitarist and vocalist for Black Midi and a member of Geordie Greep's Japan tour. Furthermore, in April, she participated in Shun Ishiwaka's percussion recital. She was selected as one of the 25 groups representing Japan in 2025, "Future of Music," by Rolling Stone magazine. In addition to his work as an up-and-coming jazz pianist, he has been attracting attention for his seamless activities as a musician who will lead the next generation, including his work with Saki Kanno in the unit "haruyoi" and with Kitamura Fuki in the unit "°pbdb." In June, he released his latest single "Tear.:*+." His first solo album, "Asleep Above Creatures," is scheduled to be released on July 30th.
