tokyo honey trap is a project formed by Tetsu Nclaren, founder of BIJRecords. Its origins were as a band that began to fill the sense of loss caused by the Great East Japan Earthquake. The band's sound approach, which made Brantley Gutierrez, an acquaintance and official photographer of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, the highest-ranking outdoor rock event in the United States, say, "It's like the Sex Pistols using a Mac!", and the new generation glam rock style of genderless new vocalist Mitsu Nclaren are its characteristics.

After many dark histories (more than 30 member changes), they released their debut album Demo Tape in October 2022. Their modern punk records are problematic, with pressing companies refusing to print them due to their extreme disc designs, and they were forced to self-censor and change some of the lyrics. Their rock band is known for their vulgar guitar sound, which cannot be expressed with modern DTM (desktop music), and they received great acclaim for their nine-date UK tour in 2023.
