Originally from China, now based in Auckland New Zealand for the past 15 years and performing worldwide with extensive repertoire from the Classics to Rock and Pop.

Annie has performed and thrilled audiences from Beijing to New York and has appeared on Beijing television as well as PBS television in New York as a solo artist with her incredible virtual Symphony orchestra.

She astounds audiences with her beautiful repertoire of music from Classical fusion to movie themes and broadway to some of the biggest rock and pop music on the planet.

When playing live on stage, Annie has a delightful cheeky sense of humour which comes through with her natural personality and banter winning audiences and fans all over the world.

When at home in Auckland, Annie is always busy arranging and recording her unique symphony orchestral repertoire of classical music, movie scores, rock classics and Chinese fusion music.

About Annie Gong

Annie started playing the accordion from the age of five and virtually grew up on stage with a BA of performing arts from Tianjin Conservatory of Music.  In her early years, Annie toured extensively as a soloist throughout China with some of China's most prestigious symphony orchestras.

At one point, Annie's parents decided that she should travel to the west to gain a broader perspective and knowledge of western music and culture.

Annies world changed when Roland launched the first electronic accordion in 2003, and it opened a whole new world of music for Annie which she fully embraced and enabled her the opportunity to bring the accordion into the 20th century and show that it is indeed a fantastic instrument which is grossly underestimated.

In 2013, Roland launched its professional model. It allows Annie to create her combinations of instruments and the arrangements to suit different music pieces which sound incredibly realistic, just like the original orchestral pieces.
