ABOUT SHOW | HIDE

Hailing from Perth, Western Australia, the band was formed in 2021 by four mates who shared a passion for avant-garde music. Vacate Palace's sound is heavily influenced by Black Midi, The Garden and Turnstile, adding their own twist to create a unique and powerful soundscape. Members Bon, Cuba, Oscar, and Seb (16-17) have made it their mission to deliver unique sounds and take on a varied range of genres and styles, bringing something fresh to the table.

Vacate Palace released their debut Single, "McHorns" on the 7th of July, receiving critical acclaim from the likes of touring band King Princess. Mixed and mastered by highly accredited engineer Michael Jelinek (has produced for Psychedelic Porn Crumpets, Sly Withers and Gazey), the single allowed them to gain traction within the competitive U18 Australian music scene for its unique take on punk and indie elements.

Vacate Palace has also gained a strong Instagram following with their ‘Reels,’ attracting up to 18.5 thousand views on a single Reel. Just a week after its release, the band’s single has over 1k streams with 500+ monthly listeners. Both of their headliners have sold out within a few weeks of being announced. Vacate Palace has supported highly acclaimed Australian Touring artists such as Noah Dillon, Dear Sunday, Ghost Care and Homebrand. Touring artist King Princess, who are currently touring with Red Hot Chili Peppers, stumbled upon a Vacate Palace show in March and were extremely impressed, personally inviting the band to their show with Florence and the Machine at RAC Arena that night and bringing them backstage.

Having recently won the largest battle of the bands in Western Australia, winning over judges Angie Colman, Charlie Smith from Pot Plant house party and Ashleigh Carr-White from Dulcie, Vacate Palace are gaining well-deserved recognition and attention in the Australian music scene. Their triumph in the competition is a testament to their talent, hard work, and dedication to the art of music.

Vacate Palace is not a band to sleep on.
