Bassist, multi-instrumentalist and composer, Alfredo Paixao is certainly a point of reference in the Italian and international musical landscape and is one of the most requested and respected bass players in Italy and abroad.
Born in Rio de Janeiro on May 4, 1962, nephew of the well-known Brazilian saxophonist Moacir Santos, he began studying music at the age of six at the music school of Brasilia, where he graduated in 1974 in classical guitar.
Immediately after the end of the course he enters the context of Brazilian popular music playing for many years alongside some of the most important Brazilian artists.
After graduating in 1984 at the Federal University of Music of Brasilia, he went to the United States where he get involved with great musicians including: Bunny Brunnel, Justo Almario (Caldera), Joe Heredia, Eddie del Barrio, etc ..
Only at the end of 1988 he arrived in Italy and during these years he collaborated with the best Italian artists including Teresa de Sio, Paolo Vallesi, Fiorello, Giorgia, Paola Turci, Ornella Vanoni, Laura Pausini too name just a few.
