Quintus Lim (aka Quin) was born in 1995 in Hong Kong when his Malaysian parents traveled abroad for work. After spending 8 years childhood in HK, he moved back to Malaysia in 2003 with his family and subsequently completed his primary and secondary school education in Kuala Lumpur. Inspired by Taiwanese superstar Jay Chou and various other celebrities, he had always aspired to become an artist.

In his college years in KL (2014 - 2016) when he majored in accounting and finance, Quintus started listening to Japanese rap music and eventually learned of the amazing genre of jazzy hiphop (aka chillhop). It did not take long for him to completely fall in love with this musical style. He immersed himself completely in the world of jazzhop and became deeply moved by the styles of celebrated hiphop producers Nujabes and J Dilla (besides many others) and started producing his own music as a hobby.

In 2016, his third college year, Quintus released his first single, Summer Rain, under the name of QuintusKing (which is his go-to alias on the internet and his YouTube channel which also features video games related contents). He subsequently released several other jazzy hiphop songs, somehow venturing into the world of lofi hiphop as well.

Quintus is now a full-time accountant and continues to produce jazzy hiphop music in his spare time, aspiring to making the world a better place with this beautiful musical style.
