Hailing from Melbourne, Australia, President Street are an eclectic mix of musicians who came together through random meetings. From adverts in local music shops to the online space like musical "tinder" it was not a typical start for a band. With each member coming from very different walks of life and musical backgrounds, their shared love of making music has been their glue.

The origin of the name is in a street in Perth, Australia - where Pete grew up; representing the cycle music plays in our lives - so deeply attached to feelings and memories. This connection of emotion with music strongly guides the band's songwriting process, led by front members Pete and Ruby. Their instincts, abilities and musical versatility helps them create a unique and ever surprising sound you can't quite put your finger on.
