Mourot completed a classical music training and obtained a Music Studies diploma from the Conservatoire de Nancy with an emphasis in piano and trompet. Current music cradled his childhood, and he later discovered jazz, improvisation, and composition at the Conservatoire de Strasbourg, remarkably in a class instructed by Eric Watson. He graduated with High Honors, and finished his studies with a year of jazz piano and composition refinement. Following his own path in the music world, Mourot has a desire to cultivate versatility and reject stylistic labels : original compositions, improvisations, current music, cabaret, arrangements, and orchestrations, a studio musicien. In his record collection of about 40, there are a dozen in which he performs the lead or co-lead. His professional career has brought him to many countries, including the United States, Bolivia, Columbia, Czech Republic, Ukraine, Germany, Hungary, Slovakia, Belgium, and Switzerland.
