Rory Pike was born in Kingston Jamaica, where he spent most of his earlier years in "The Concrete Jungle." These were very humble beginnings for him, where he grew up in a multi family home ( tenement yard) , with his grandmother as his main caretaker. Rory’s love for music began at a very early age. Growing up, he was always listening to everything, from the old American classics such as, “when a man loves a woman”, to the versatile reggae hits such as, Bob Marley's “Redemption Song”. His musical influences includes other Artists; Berres Hammond, Bounty Killa, Sam Cooke, Marvin Gaye, Billy Joel, Elton John, Biggie Smalls and Jay Z, just to name a few....
Rory migrated to the U.S. in 1996 to live with his mom, and where he met Gregory James. These two shared a mutual respect for each other, and a tremendous love for music. They joined forces with four fellow Jamaicans who possessed some great musical talents, and they formed a reggae crew by the name of NYCE CREW. They didn’t get to make the musical waves as they would have liked, but one of their songs did make it to the soundtrack of the movie “Phat Girls”, starring Monique. Rory’s verse actually got played in the movie, so that was an exciting moment in his career. Mr Pike's mission is to pursue groundbreaking music that's unique and that will last the test of time.
