Betyars: A group of highwaymen who existed in Hungary in the 18th and 19th centuries. Later, they became folk heroes fighting for social justice. Nowadays, the word means young people who do what they like.
Formed in 2009, Bohemian Betyars is a band featuring fiddles, expressing the joy that is unique to Hungarians. As they call themselves "Speed Folk Freak Punk," their music is an exciting mixture of punk, ska, psychedelic, and other elements of Hungarian, Balkan, and Gypsy influences. Over the past two years, Bohemian Betyars has performed live all over the world, captivating audiences with their catchy sound.
