ABOUT SHOW | HIDE

Noah Alexander Yount was born to parents Max and Beth Yount on February 20, 1984. He was raised up in the city of Beloit, Wisconsin, a hub between Madison and Milwaukee to the north and Rockford and Chicago to the south. Noah grew up in an extremely musical so was influenced to begin writing songs from a very young age.

Noah actuslly began perform the raps he wrote from the age of 12 onward. Around 14, he developed the longstanding nickname Nyzz or Nyzzle (spelling derived from his initials). His biggest influences in his writing and flow style came from early to mid-ninties hip hop. Due to his lyrical content often being extremely graphic, Noah quickly developed the moniker "Nasty Nyzz" among his peers. This was also in part an homage to one of his all time favorite artists at the time, Nas.

In 1999 Noah first started making tracks. At first they were limited to mixtapes of songs and freestyles over beats on vinyl from other producers and dubbed on cassette tape. In 2000, Noah began to produce beats of his own.

In 2001, Noah teamed up with long-time good friend Adrien Vince (now known as Vinny P.) and formed a long standing hip-hop partnership between them. The duo went through a short period of teaming of with the remnants of the group, Sedated, to form the reincarnation of the group. After that the duo under the name, Nyzz & Twiggz, spent around a year under the label, 3rd Degree Productions. The notable singles produced in that era are "roach that" and "concrete jungle countryside". After the label dissolved, the duo produced the underground classic "Still At Large". In years following, the duo split musically, both in search of a different solo direction.

In 2007, Noah linked up with friend and all-around hip-hop buff, Brett Campbell, aka Swivel. The two started to unofficially call themselves the alpha-bit click (spelled withbtge Greek letter alpha) and Noah developed a production name and alter ego, Flood, all in the same strike.Noah did a stint of shows with Swivel as his regular hype man. In 2009 Noah developed a totally independent label, Flood St. Records. In 2010, the duo released the lp, New Waterloo under the name Alpha-bit.

After college, Noah moved to Osaka, Japan to try his hand at something different while visiting a friend. He has been there ever since but never ceased making new music. Through his internet pages like, soundcloud, datpiff, etc... Noah has been offering loads of free music to fans and newcomers alike for years. His catalogue is deep for an artist that has not been so commercially successful and eclectic for hiphop artist (Noah sings in addition to just rapping.)

In early 2015, Noah released his first solo effort on Flood St. Records, entitled "Whuddisay".

A regular to the Osaka hiphop/club scene, Noah will continue to build his name in it, but hopes to expand his brand all over Japan as well as the world. He attributes his lack of commercial success to his distaste for the overly commercial/materialistic side if hiphop and has been known to avoid promotion of hisself at times due to a motivation to simply spread the love of music, not a name. However Noah feels that the commercial scene just might be ready someday for someone as special as he is, and until that day, he'll continue to spit verbal fire, tell real emotion stories, get super nasty, sing cheesy love songs, and generally do whatever comes to him musically as he always has.
