No beating around the bush: it's difficult to explain what is really happening to Sebastian Straw right now.
He starts getting noticed after publishing some demo version singles. Is he a mix between Noel Gallagher and Richard Ashcroft? Maybe between Damon Albarn and Gaz Coombes? Or rather, the eternal fight between Liverpool, London and Manchester? Straw is one of a kind: his style is unique; his sound, sometimes melancholic, is full of harmonic touches. A perfect mix of distorted electric and acoustic guitar, pianos and keyboards; his voice, rarely crystal clear, alternates moments of melancholy and pure energy. His music is sweet, strong and angry.

Sebastian is and has always been an atypical frontman, with a calm but brazen attitude on stage. Shadowy and shy, in life as in music, inseparable from his Jazzmaster and his acoustic guitar, he writes his music in the intimacy of the night hours, when the city sleeps the mix of the most beautiful and the ugliest thoughts becomes perfect, it is usually repeat. He draws strength and brings out the best in himself, he tells us, from the harm he suffers or has suffered from others. From lost friends, from disappointments, from those who did not believe in him; Sebastian manages to bring out the best in himself from the worst episodes of life and to channel all his anger and disappointment, into music. And we can feel it. The few people who know him really well define him as one of the most angry, lonely and melancholy people on the face of the earth. But this is not always the case: Sebastian is nevertheless a sunny boy, smiling, who carries within him many cracks which, however, have contributed positively to his growth as a man and as an artist.

Sebastian Straw was born in Latina, Italy. Already well known in the local music scene having played for a long time, after a couple of years of radio silence spent between university and work, he came back to the scene with his solo Album.
Welcome Yesterday, consisting of eleven wonderful songs written and arranged in a perfect brit rock style, alternative, dreaming and shoegazing pop. His new album is going to be released the 4th october (Seahorse Recordings).
Noel Gallagher, Richard Ashcroft, Damon Albarn, Gaz Coombes,Oasis, the Verve, Blur and Supergrass have shaped his musical DNa: his bond with the English sounds typical of the 90s is the leitmotif of his whole art. He was eight when he began his piano studies and, at that age, the 'punishments' he received when
he made mistakes really did hurt.This was one of the reasons why he chose to try other instruments,
like drums and guitars without ever leaving the piano.
He became the frontman of some local bands.
This went on until he was twenty when, after a few months spent in Dublin, he decided to dive into the working and studying life in Rome and Florence, but still not abandoning the music scene altogether: In 2003 he was awarded the 'Best voice' prize in the 'I have a dream' contest in Rieti.
Straw is a specialist dedicated to prevention in the healthcare section. His agenda was divided between hospital work and local activities.
After going through some rough times due to personal - romantic - reasons, he decided to resume his musical career: his determination was stronger than ever.
