First on trumpet which he played for 8 years before switching to the flute, though he never stopped playing the piano. He could thus have the opportunity to play with some of the most prominent French Jazz players of the time visiting Reunion Island.

In 1992, after graduation, he moved to Paris where he remained very active as a performer, composer and educator for 7 years. In 1999 he moved to Singapore to be a full-time music teacher but soon got introduced to the local scene and produced a Jazz CD “Logical Nonsense” with his own compositions and also took part in the band “Bali Lounge” that came to the attention of MTV though a song that he co-wrote. ‘Bali Lounge’ was nominated “artist of the month’ on MTV Asia with the song “Something’s Wrong” and was later nominated as “Best Newcomer in Indonesia” for the year 2005!
