Camera Cult is an American indie-pop band based in Houston, Texas. The band was formed in 2015 by high school friends Ricky Vasquez and David Gonzalez with a mutual enthusiasm for combining pop and indie rock genres together. Later they would be joined by Skyler Scholtes on drums to fill the line up. From 2016 through 2017, Camera Cult would release enthralling singles like the synth heavy, disco infused VICE GRIPS. They would follow it with the fan favorite CAMARO which is an upbeat guitar pop driven track that gets any room jumping. Camera Cult would garner regional success with the realse of TALK NICE - EP in 2018. Its stand out track LOCATION would quickly create the buzz the band needed to be recognized around the internet. With Vasquez's croony vocals singing over a soft and sweet chord progression bathed in synthesizers also contrasted with a groovy bass, Location will have you nodding your head along. The band's latest release DAYS takes a step in much more indie rock territory. A track that displays how Camera Cult is not afraid to venture onto new musical landscapes. Though they have had success with their music releases online, the best way to enjoy their music is in a live setting. Camera Cult punches through a fiery set of uplifting songs that gets anyone and everyone in the room dancing. It isn't hard to see why Camera Cult is climbing their way up to something much bigger in their career.
